The Fifth Age of Man announces with sadness and a profound sense of loss the passing of its longest-serving Director, Victor Vitlin who was a partner for many years with our founder, Mark Ross, in their business ventures.

Mr. Vitlin fought a valiant battle against melanoma for more than a year after his diagnosis, and finally succumbed on May 19, 2015.  His obituary can be found here.

In Mr. Vitlin’s honor, the Foundation dedicated its 2015 Grant program to two organizations which support research into the causes and treatments of melanoma and which offer support to the children and their families who are suffering from the ravages of childhood cancer.

Our Name: A Quote From the Bard The Fifth Age of Man Foundation takes its name from Shakespearean metaphor. In As You Like It (ACT II SCENE VII), Jaques describes the seven ages of man. The fifth age is Justice.
